Catcher Ethan Salas, the Padres’ №1 prospect, was 0-for-2 for High Single-A Fort Wayne but drew two walks and stole a base. Center fielder Homer Bush Jr. (.214), the Padres’ №11 prospect, was 1-for-4.

First baseman Nathan Martorella, the Padres’ №14 prospect, was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored to raise his batting average to .280 for Double-A San Antonio.

Two right-handed starters ranked among the Padres’ top-10 prospects, had rough outings.

Dylan Lesko (0–1, 6.14 earned run average), the Padres’ №4 prospect, gave up six runs on three hits, six walks and a hit batter with six strikeouts to take the loss at Fort Wayne. Ryan Bergert (0–1, 4.24), the Padres’ №10 prospect, gave up three runs on 7 hits and no walks with five strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings to take the loss for San Antonio.

And right-hander Isaiah Lowe (0–1, 4.00), the Padres’ №25 prospect), gave up three runs on two hits, two walks and two hit batters with four strikeouts in three innings to take the loss for Single-A Lake Elsinore.

Designate hitter J.D. Gonzalez (.231), the Padres’ №18 prospect, was 1-for-4 for the Storm.
