Tim Locastro and Matthew Batten combined for nine of El Paso’s 19 hits and Graham Pauley and Eguy Rosario hit fourth and fifth, respectively, in their return to Triple-A Tuesday night as the Chihuahuas routed Albuquerque 15–5 in El Paso.

Locastro, who played right and center, went 5-for-6 with a double, a stolen base three RBIs and four runs scored to raise his batting average to .360. Second baseman Batten (.260) was 4-for-6 with a double, two RBIs and two runs.

Pauley (.294), the Padres’ №6 prospect, was 1-for-3 with two walks, a sacrifice fly and two runs while playing left field in his first game back with the Chihuahuas. Third baseman Rosario (.333) was 2-for-6 with a double and two RBIs. Right-handed reliever Alek Jacob (8.16 earned run average), the Padres’ №16 prospect, gave up three runs on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings for El Paso.

Catcher Ethan Salas, the Padres’ №1 prospect, had a double and triple in four at-bats with a sacrifice fly and a run scored for High Single-A Fort Wayne. Center fielder Homer Bush Jr., the Padres’ №8 prospect, was 2-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base and a run for the TinCaps.

Left-handed starter Austin Krob, the Padres’ №10 prospect, gave up two runs (one earned) on seven hits and a walk with a strikeout in 5 1/3 innings for Double-A San Antonio — lowering his earned run average to 5.18. Left-handed reliever Jayvien Sandridge (1–2, 1.74 ERA), the Padres’ №30 prospect, gave up a run on a hit with a strikeout in an inning to take the loss for the Missions. Second baseman Marcos Castanon, the Padres’ №14 prospect, was 2-for-4 in his return from the injured list for San Antonio.

Third baseman Jay Beshears (.354), the Padres’ №28 prospect, was 2-for-4 with a double, a two-run homer and a walk for Single-A Lake Elsinore. Shortstop Rosman Verdugo (.221), the Padres’ №24 prospect, had a double in 4 at-bats.

TRIPLE-A EL PASO (15–19) — CHIHUAHUAS 15, Albuquerque 5: C Brett Sullivan (.310) had a double and a home run in 4 at-bats with a walk, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored behind Pauley, Rosario, Locastro and Batten. CF Bryce Johnson (.264) was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, a RBI and 2 runs. 1B Nate Mondou (.283) was 1-for-3 with a RBI and 3 walks. DH Cal Mitchell (.271) had a double in 4 ABs with 2 walks, a stolen base, a RBI and 2 runs. SS Mason McCoy (.219) was 1-for-6 with a run. LF Cole Cummings (.277) was 2-for-4 with a RBI. 2B Ripken Reyes (.179) was 1-for-3 with 2 hiut-by-pitches with 2 runs scored. SS Ray-Patrick Didder (.237) was 1-for-4. RH Josh Roberson (2.00 ERA) followed Krob and gave up a run on 2 hits with 3 strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings.

HIGH SINGLE-A FORT WAYNE (10–18) — WEST MICHIGAN 5, TinCaps 4 (10 innings): RF Kai Murphy (.281) was 2-for-5 with a double and a RBI behind Salas and Bush. LF Tyler Robertson (.200) had a solo homer in 4 at-bats. DH Anthony Vilar (.220) had a RBI triple in 5 ABs. SS Nik McClaughry (.203) was 1-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch and a run. Starting RH Enmanuel Pinales (2.35 ERA) allowed a hit and 4 walks with 7 strikeouts in 5 scoreless innings. RH Tyler Morgan (3.32) gave up 2 runs on 4 hits with a K in 3 IPs. RH Will Geerdes (0–2, 5.06) gave up 3 runs (2 earned) on 2 hits and 2 BBs with 2 Ks in 1 2/3 IPs to take the loss.

C Oswaldo Linares (.140) was 1-for-3 with a walk, a RBI and a run. DH Ethan Long was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run in his Storm debut. LF Braedon Karpathios (.264) was 1-for-4 with a walk and a run. CF Nick Vogt (.187) was 1-for-4 with a RBI and a stolen base. 1B Romeo Sanabria (.316) was 1-for-4. Starting LH Fernando Sanchez (1–0, 1.93 ERA) gave up a run on 2 hits with 5 strikeouts in 6 innings to earn the win. RH Will Varmette (12.71) gave up 3 runs on 2 hits and 2 walks in an IP. LH Javier Chacon (3.06) had 3 Ks in 2 perfect IPs to earn the save.
