PADRES ON DECK: Lockridge Has 3 Hits in AAA-El Paso Debut, Starting Pitchers Krob, Nett, Crismatt, Yost Sharp
Left fielder Brandon Lockridge, who was recently acquired by the Padres from the Yankees in a trade, went 3-for-3 with two walks, two stolen bases, a RBI and a run scored in his debut with Triple-A El Paso.
Lockridge, 27, is ranked the Padres’ №29 prospect.
Right fielder Tirso Ornelas (.323), the Padres’ №19 prospect, was 0-for-4 with a RBI in the Chihuahuas’ win. El Paso stole 10 bases in its 6–2 win over Oklahoma City, the Dodgers’ Triple-A affiliate.
Center fielder José Azocar (.296) was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, a walk, two stolen bases and a run. First baseman Matthew Batten (.254) was 2-for-5 with a RBI, a stolen base and a run scored. Shortstop Mason McCoy (.231) was 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Second baseman Nate Mondou (.277) was 2-for-3 with a walk, two stolen bases, a RBI and a run.
Former Padres’ right-hander Nabil Crismatt started for the Chihuahuas and allowed two runs on five hits and a walk with six strikeouts to improve to 2–2 with the win and lower his earned run average to 5.68. Left-handed reliever Jayvien Sandridge (6.35 ERA), the Padres’ №22 prospect, allowed two hits with two strikeouts in a scoreless inning.
Left-handed starter Austin Krob, the Padres’ №4 prospect, gave up one run on nine hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings for Double-A San Antonio. Unfortunately, the Missions lost 1–0 as Krob fell to 3–8, although he lowered his ERA to 5.32.
Third baseman Marcos Castañon (.221), the Padres’ №7 prospect, was 0-for-2 with a walk.
Right-handed starter Braden Nett (6.61 ERA), the Padres’ №10 prospect, gave up three runs on five hits and three walks with five strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings for High Single-A Fort Wayne.

DOUBLE-A SAN ANTONIO (14–15, 45–52) — Frisco 1, MISSIONS 0: RH Raul Brito (3.86 ERA) followed Krob and gave up a hit and a walk with 4 strikeouts in 3 1/3 scoreless innings. SS Ripken Reyes (.216) was 1-for-1 with a walk and a stolen base. CF Zach Reks (.127) was 1-for-1.
HIGH SINGLE-A FORT WAYNE (11–21; 39–60) — West Michigan 5, TIN CAPS 4: CF Joshua Mears (.180) was 3-for-4 with a solo home run and 2 runs scored. LF Griffin Doersching (.208) hit a solo home run in 3 at-bats. 2B Nerwillian Cedeno (.197) had a double in 4 at-bats with a RBI and a run. C Anthony Vilar (.261) was 1-for-2 with a walk, a hit-by-pitch and 2 stolen bases.
